The Attleboro Fire Department is warning residents to take precautions after multiple sightings of a venomous copperhead snake in the area of Ten Mile River. The snake is "not commonly seen in this region," the fire department warned in a Facebook post. At least two dogs have been bitten by the snake, which has been seen near Milk Street.
While the Attleboro area escaped relatively unscathed from Thursday morning's heavy rainstorms, some area communities such as Wrentham and Norfolk did get hit with several inches of rain.
