Canyon Crest Fire initially started 8:04 p.m. Nov. 28 in Riverside, San Bernardino County. It has burned 284 acres after being active for 35 hours, an increase of 30 acres since the last update. A fire crew of 74 succeeded in containing 50% of the fire as of Saturday morning. The blaze's cause remains under investigation.

An evacuation warning was issued in Riverside County after a vegetation fire broke out in Fontana Thursday afternoon. The Canyon Crest Fire was first reported at around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Canyon Crest Drive and Weeping Willow Lane,

A wildfire that ignited on Thanksgiving Day and burned dangerously close homes in Riverside County grew significantly overnight. The Canyon Crest Fire had scorched 250 acres as of 6 a.m. Friday, Cal Fire officials stated in an update.
