Bangladesh has strongly condemned the arrest of Hindu priest Chinmoy Krishna Das, a prominent Sanatani leader, and voiced grave concern over the rising violence and attacks against the Sanatani community across the country.

An Iskcon priest was arrested in Dhaka. He was detained at the airport. He is accused of disrespecting the Bangladeshi flag. A saffron flag was placed over the national flag during a rally. The priest is one of several facing sedition charges.
