Russia overnight into Sunday launched one of its most intense drone attacks on Ukraine since the beginning of its full-scale invasion in 2022.

The Ukrainian military said Monday that the Security Service of Ukraine attacked a Russian facility in the Black Sea with the use of drones.

Russia has launched what Ukraine says is a record number of drones at the country overnight, targeting various regions, including that of the capital Kyiv, where a woman was killed.

The barrage comes ahead of a planned call between Presidents Trump and Putin on Monday, as the US pushes for a ceasefire.
