Shares of Helen of Troy Limited (NASDAQ:HELE) tumbled 22.26% in premarket trading after the consumer products firm reported a sharp drop in first-quarter earnings that missed expectations, citing significant tariff-related headwinds.

For the second quarter, Helen of Troy ( NASDAQ: HELE) expects to earn an adjusted profit of $0.45 to $0.60 per share on sales of $408M to $432M, below estimates of $1.16 per share and $475.1M, respectively. The company is not providing guidance for FY26 due to “evolving” global tariff policies and macroeconomic uncertainties.
