W e are more than halfway through the 2025 MLB regular season. The All-Star break is two weeks way and the trade deadline is two weeks after that. Soon thereafter the dog days of summer will set in, then the postseason races will heat up.
The addition of Milwaukee Brewers rookie phenom pitcher Jacob Misiorowski to the National League All-Star team drew mixed reactions around Major League Baseball.
So, consider Misiorowski’s fourth big-league outing a tough learning experience for the young Milwaukee Brewers right-hander, who on the heels of a historic start to his career gave up five runs in the second inning and didn’t pitch out of the fourth inning in a 7-3 loss to the New York Mets.
Misiorowski held the Dodgers to just one run – on a leadoff homer by Shohei Ohtani – over six innings of work, while allowing three hits and one walk and striking out a career-high 12 batters. And what might have been most impressive about it is the growth Misiorowski showed from his first few starts, successful though they were.
