Ke Huy Quan's new film with John Wick's stunt coordinator Jonathan Eusebio at the helm, Love Hurts, is already gaining fan love.

The Oscar winner is charming as ever in his first leading role, but absolutely nothing else in Jonathan Eusebio's action outing is up to snuff.

Academy Award-winning actor Ke Huy Quan joins TODAY to talk about his first leading role in “Love Hurts” and reuniting with his “Goonies” co-stars at his handprint and footprint ceremony outside the TCL Chinese Theatre.

Love Hurts is directed by veteran stunt coordinator and first time feature filmmaker Jonathan Eusebio, and stars Quan as Marvin Gable, a successful estate agent with a past as a violent hitman – which comes back to haunt him when his former partner returns to the scene to inform him his violent brother is after him.

Spielberg directed a 12-year-old Quan opposite Harrison Ford in “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.” They celebrated the 2023 awards season together, with Quan in the race for “Everything Everywhere All at Once” and Spielberg for “The Fabelmans.”

The Goonies reunions kept on coming as the Everything Everywhere All at Once actor was joined by Brolin, Feldman, Cohen and Kerri Green on Feb. 3, when he immortalized his handprints and footprints in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Love Hurts” runs a mere 83 minutes, but that word “mere” can be so misleading! The minutes fly like months. Or a triple bill of “The Brutalist,” the Kenneth Branagh “Hamlet” and the seven-hour 1968 film version of “War and Peace.

Ke Huy Quan has had a weird career. He made two widely seen studio hits as a child, endearing himself to a generation as Short Round in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" and Data in "The Goonies.
