An officer shot and killed a dog after it bit a policeman in Northwest, D.C. Wednesday evening, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

A D.C. police officer shot and killed a dog Wednesday evening. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said just after 6 p.m., officers were called to a “domestic disturbance” in the 6700 block of Piney Branch Road in Northwest.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating after officers shot and killed a dog they say charged at them, biting one, in Northwest D.C. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened in the 6700 block of Piney Branch Rd. around 6 p.m.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has identified the man who was killed in a shooting last week in Southeast. D.C. police identified the man as 25-year-old Mark Odom, of no fixed address. According to the MPD,
