DETROIT – It’s shaping up to be a Toasty Tuesday. Today will likely be the warmest day of the week as highs top out around 90, but humidity still stays on the lower side under hazy skies. The wildfire smoke from Central Canada lingers across Michigan which extended the Air Quality Alert for Southeast Michigan through tonight.
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) has issued an Air Quality Alert for coastal Michigan counties Thursday.
On July 15, rain and thunderstorms are expected in southern Michigan and in the Upper Peninsula. Then, more rain and thunderstorms are forecast statewide on July 16. Widespread haze is included in the forecast for northern Michigan as the Canadian wildfire smoke moves over Michigan.
