Snow squalls and dangerous white-out conditions are in the forecast for parts of Michigan tonight as bands of heavy lake-effect snow are expected to move from west to east across the Lower Peninsula.

The coldest air of the season is on its way for the end of the week. But before that happens, parts of the metro area will experience a fresh round of snow.

Some regions of Michigan are under winter storm warnings, while metro Detroit has a winter weather advisory. Dangerous road conditions are expected.
