In a sophisticated refund scam, Flipkart-owned fashion website Myntra has lost millions of rupees after fraudsters exploited the company's customer-friendly refund policies. The loss came to light amid the audit process of the company.

A sophisticated scam exploiting Myntra's refund policies has led to losses of ₹50 crore across India, with Bengaluru alone accounting for ₹1.1 crore from over 5,500 fraudulent orders.

Myntra recently approached Bengaluru police, reporting a loss of Rs 1.1 crore between March and June this year due to fraudulent refund claims.

A Jaipur-based gang exploited Myntra’s return policies to cheat the platform of ₹1.1 crore by placing bulk orders for branded merchandise and claiming false refunds.
