It's fitting that the Wimbledon final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner on Sunday represents the first time the same two men meet for that title right after playing for the French Open trophy since a couple of guys named Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal did so every year from 2006-2008.

Jannik Sinner stunned Novak Djokovic in straight sets at Wimbledon, setting up a final clash with Carlos Alcaraz. Sinner's dominant performance ended Djokovic's streak of Wimbledon final appearances going back to 2018.

After their meeting in the French Open final at Roland Garros just over a month ago ‐ where Alcaraz clinched the title ‐ they are now set for another high‐octane final, this time on the Centre Court of Wimbledon.
