VIJAYAWADA: In a significant boost to industrial and digital ecosystem, the Andhra Pradesh government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with tech giant Google to establish its operations in Visakhapatnam.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said global tech giant Google is eyeing a big Artificial Intelligence opportunity in Visakhapatnam. Addressing a district collectors conference at the secretariat, the CM said Google and the southern state have signed an agreement, which would catapult the port city's development.

The policy is aimed at increasing the tourism sector’s share in the state economy, enhance employment opportunities and creating diverse livelihood opportunities across associated industries.
