Wells Fargo is set to sell its San Francisco headquarters, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday, as the U.S. banking giant shifts its focus to the country's East Coast.

Bank will shift its official hub to 333 Market Street, while its top  executives work in New York and Charlotte.

Wells Fargo plans to sell its headquarters building in San Francisco and relocate to nearby offices, citing a need for a more collaborative work environment.
