If you want to test the speed of your internet connection regularly, you can install the Speedtest by Ookla app from the Microsoft App Store and use it to measure your speed locally at any time.

Ookla has shared broadband speed test numbers for 152 countries. So, speaking of the tailenders, Syria and Cuba have claimed the bottom two spots with median download speeds of about 3 Mbps.

But Ookla – makers of the original speedtest.net – may have just outdone it. The company just released a speed test Chrome extension that lives next to the OmniBar.
