According to State Police, a motorcycle struck the trooper, who was outside of his cruiser, on Revere Beach Boulevard shortly before 5 p.m., and the rider then fled the scene on foot.
The trooper, who was shot in his bullet-resistant vest, was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries and released, the highway patrol said about 12:20 a.m. Wednesday on X, formerly Twitter.
