NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Flames damaged an ax throwing business in North Charleston this morning. The fire sparked before sunrise at The Bearded Ax on East Montague avenue in Park Circle.

The Bearded Ax celebrates their reopening with a charity event. On Sun. March 15, The Bearded Ax offers free admission throwing and adoption fees waived up to $500 in support of Dorchester Paws.

Luke Mickelson with Bearded Axe has requested a special use permit to operate an indoor recreation facility at 246 Third Ave. S. Mickelson wants to turn a former warehouse into an ax-throwing gym.

Bearded Axe will also offer knife-throwing and spear-throwing with certified trainers. The cost will be around $25 per person for an hour of throwing ($20 if you pre-register online).
