Ten weeks into the 2025 NFL season, the Denver Broncos are currently the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff race. The Broncos (8-2) are first in the AFC West, above the Los Angeles Chargers (7-3), Kansas City Chiefs (5-4) and Las Vegas Raiders (2-7). Up next for Denver is a crucial division showdown with KC in Week 11.
Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix set a high bar for himself after giving Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels a run for his money in the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year race last year. And now that Nix has had a few multi-turnover games this season, his mistakes are being criticized more harshly than they were last year.
Former Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden has a major problem with the NFL's weekly Thursday Night Football schedule.
The Broncos are currently scheduled to face the Washington Commanders on Sunday Night Football in Week 13 on Nov. 30. Denver will be at worst 8-3 and possibly 9-2 going into that game, so the Broncos are an intriguing storyline, but the Commanders might be a different story.
After sacking Raiders quarterback Geno Smith six times on Thursday night, the Broncos now have 46 sacks through 10 games. If they continue this pace for the remaining seven games of the 2025 season, the Broncos will finish with 78 sacks, which would be a new NFL record.
The Broncos and the Raiders etched themselves in the record books on Thursday, but not for reasons either team is happy about.
The Broncos began the third-quarter possession at the Las Vegas 33-yard line after an interception and big return by linebacker Dondrea Tillman. The Denver offense had already punted five times and ended another drive with an interception, but now they were in prime position to grab the lead.
