NISKAYUNA, N.Y. (WRGB) — CBS 6 has been taking an in-depth look at staffing shortages that continue to plague school districts, and one major issue is a lack of bus drivers.

According to CCSD, the job fairs will be held on June 24, July 1 and July 8. The district says the hiring events will run from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Arville Bus Yard, 4499 Arville Street.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Chesapeake City Public Schools is looking to hire more school bus drivers, and they're hoping to do it before the end of day. The school district hosted a job fair on Tuesday.

At the end of last year, the district had 490 bus drivers. They're offering incentives to attract new drivers. According to its website, employment as a bus driver pays $19.88 per hour.
