Street parking can be quite a challenge in San Francisco, and new bus guidelines from SFMTA meant to improve safety mean the removal of more than 1,000 parking spots in the city.

At that point, the images will be sent to parking enforcement for review, but only for bus lane and bus stop violations. The program comes as a result of a bill passed by California lawmakers in 2021.
