As with the new YouTube dark mode, Android Messages users can eliminate the bright white background, instead switching to a darker interface that is easier on the eyes over longer periods of time.
In fact, a primitive Dark Mode has existed on Twitter since 2016. That earlier incarnation, called Night Mode, turned Twitter’s backdrop steel blue; white text and cobalt links popped against it.
Those with iPhones will just have to look at their bright feed with envy, and hope that Facebook takes pity on those still confined to the same old default black type on a white background soon. I ...
