Lenovo's new Smart Clock 2 with Google Assistant has a cute new design and a helpful new feature: A wireless charging plinth with a built-in night light.

TikToker @tinalemac blessed the Internet showing how she created a DIY clock using an IKEA pie plate, polymer clay and magnets. And the results are beyond cool. It is so cute and a totally doable DIY.

The new Smart Clock Essential is basically a Google Home or Assistant-powered speaker with a digital clock on its face that can also show you limited info, like the weather.

This text-based clock is a weird, cool middle ground between analog and digital. The words on the face light up to form a sentence that tells you the time in verbal terms.
