Dog Man is a spinoff from Pilkey's other popular illustrated book series, Captain Underpants, and began as a comic created by two characters in the story.

Dog Man and his pals have been around since 2016. The canine hero first formed in Dog Man after an on-the-job injury resulted in Officer Knight having his dog Greg’s head sewn onto his body.

Peacock announced on Wednesday morning that Dog Man, DreamWorks’ animated feature starring Pete Davidson, Lil Rel Howery, and more, is set to begin streaming exclusively on the service on May 30.
