E-40 intended to release a book of slang more than two decades ago, but it never saw the light of day. Years later, he still wanted to document the origins of his slang.

A book, "E-40's Dictionary Book of Slang, Vol. 1," is being prepared for publication by Warner Books. "I'm from the soil and we're from the Bay Area, where we love to use colorful words," he says.
