Crocs was sued for $7 million earlier this year by the parents of a 3-year-old girl whose toe was mangled in her Crocs in an escalator in November 2007 at New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport.

They kind of serve as a warning sign or a buffer, if you will. Think about it: when you hop on an escalator, you probably aren’t very concerned about the safety features.
