After a devastating fire at an assisted living facility on Oliver Street, Fall River residents are mourning the dead and looking to help the survivors.

FALL RIVER — Nine people have died and 30 people were injured in a fire at Gabriel House assisted living center July 13, according to Fall River Fire Chief Jeffrey Bacon.

Officials in Fall River said Monday that nine people were killed in a fire that broke out in an assisted living center. One person was in critical condition. More than 30 were taken to hospitals.
