So, some might still need time to get acquainted with the Mach-E—good, bad, or new—Ford is taking the electric Mustang into uncharted territory again with the 2024 Mustang Mach-E Rally.

This 2002 Focus has been stripped out, built up, and converted into the best snow car you're likely to see on this side of $10,000.

Ford didn't say what the kit will cost, but the wad of cash lets you compete in World Rally's Fiesta Sport Trophy Championship. Win the class and you get a ride in an R2 Fiesta at Wales Rally GB.

Developed by M-Sport, Ford’s WRC partner since 1997, the kit will convert a production Fiesta to rally specification.

There will also be a Stage 1 version of the kit for rally fans on a budget—the cars will still be eligible for the same rally series as full R2 cars, but will come with slightly less equipment.

The battery-electric 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally SUV is the closest thing to a hot hatch in Ford's truck- and SUV-heavy model line.

In addition to being a Mustang that is a crossover and an EV, the Mach-E is also now the closest thing to a Focus RS that Ford plans to sell in America any time soon.
