The original Craz-E Burger first appeared at The Big E in 2009 and, at the time, was a stand out from standard fried fair food on a stick. It consisted of a bacon cheeseburger on a glazed doughnut.

Instead, a public health alert was issued, the FSIS said. The raw ground beef product was manufactured by Organic Rancher and was made on May 22, 2025, and May 23, 2025, according to FSIS.
