The only thing missing from the Kindle Fire HDX for work is a physical QWERTY keyboard. Amazon doesn't make one, but some third-party case makers are stepping in to fill the void.

So to use the Kindle Fire HDX as a productivity machine, you’ll need to make do with the software keyboard, or tote a separate Bluetooth keyboard whenever you want to get some work done.

Meanwhile the Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ software update page doesn’t say anything at all about new features, but the update should add the camera, Free Time subscriptions, and Swype.

I can't wait for ZAGG to release the 8-inch Auto-Fit Keyboard, which should fit the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. Given my experience with ZAGG keyboards I believe this one will facilitate my writing work.
