The gateway to the Plymouth waterfront finally has a welcome sign worthy of America’s hometown.

A giant crane was used to install large F, D, and R letters at the park's entrance located at the intersection of Broad Street and Pattison Avenue in South Philadelphia.

During the construction of the final phase, the contractors discovered a brick vault that may be an unmarked burial at an entrance to Legacy Park.

Major League Baseball required its stadiums to implement metal detectors at all entrances ahead of the 2015 season, but Minor League Baseball has no such requirement.

The news security measures go into affect today. At Minute Maid Park, three walk-through metal detectors can be seen at nearly every entrance around the stadium.
