Murray cod to 85cm were caught trolling, or casting surface lures. Snapper to 9kg were caught in Port Phillip at Clifton Springs, Williamstown, Mordialloc, Carrum and Frankston.

Lake Eildon was consistent for yellowbelly to 65cm and Murray cod to 1.32m. Cod were caught on large swim baits, surface lures, bibbed divers and scrub worms.

Anglers trolling hard body lures had more success than previous weeks, with one local family landing 10 golden perch and one legal Murray cod on Sunday afternoon.

Fishing of Murray cod has been restricted in South Australian waters since 2008, with the fishery closed to all activity in 2009 and opened for a limited catch and release season each year since 2011.
