Studying ‘The Nutcracker,’ Students Listen, Touch, Move Like Snow Music students who are blind and visually impaired are offered a five-week course.

The beautiful costumes and backdrops were designed by Alain Vaes, and Rachel Kapelski conducted the orchestra. This was an incredible production, and one that I felt ended too soon.

In “Snow,” which premiered last year, the saga continues with the man and magpie-woman now having two daughters, borrowing from the Brothers Grimm tale of Snow-White and Rose-Red.

In additional to “The Nutcracker,” the snow backdrop will be used during the “Holiday Treats and Some Sweets” performance on Saturday, Dec. 8.
