Taking a page from Deaf West Theatre in Los Angeles, Garden Theatre’s “Pippin” is a musical understood with both the ears and eyes.
The Tony-winning musical revival officially recouped its $8.5 million capitalization at the end of a busy Thanksgiving week, during which a number of productions broke house records.
"Pippin," which debuted on Broadway in 1972 with Bob Fosse directing, was named best revival of a musical at the 67th Tony Awards, presented Sunday night at Radio City Music Hall.
