To change a black background to white in Microsoft Word, open Word, go to the Design tab, and select Page Color. Now, from the dropdown, select the White color.

Removing the background on a picture in Microsoft Word is exceptionally easy. Word has a tool incorporated into the program that will essentially make your photo into a transparent PNG format.

There's nothing wrong with a white background, but Microsoft Word lets you change the color of a document's background. You can even use a picture, but don't get carried away.
