These brightly colored postcards, sent by French families and soldiers during World War I, are part of a set of similar cards available on Flickr from the George Eastman House.

The amateur historian has collected nearly 3,500 postcards of Prince Edward Island. Now he is sharing parts of his collection in a new book, Historic P.E.I.: Vintage Postcards of Prince Edward Island.
