Bob Davis, who spent over three decades calling basketball and football games for the Kansas Jayhawks, died Thursday in Lawrence, Kan. Davis, 80, passed away just a week after his wife, Linda, died following 53 years of marriage.

Bob Davis spent more than 30 years of his life as the “Voice of the Jayhawks.” Since he died, many have spoken to the legacy he earned.

Bob Davis, the radio play-by-play voice of Kansas Jayhawks football and basketball for more than three decades, died on Thursday at the age of 80, his family announced Friday through KU’s athletic department.
