SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. — Sevier County and state leaders are working to update the county's flood map, aiming to reduce flood risk following recent heavy rains and flooding in the area.

With the Hatcher Mountain/Indigo Lane now under control, Sevier County officials have released a map showing which homes in the area were damaged or destroyed in the blaze.

A roadway in Sevier County fully reopened Wednesday after a bridge was washed out due to heavy rains earlier this year.

Those in Sevier County had to take extra precautions Thursday as many of the roads were closed to flooding.

Local fire departments and the Tennessee National Guard are fighting several wildfires in Sevier County, near Gatlinburg, as well as near Tellico Plains in Monroe County and Mountain City.

2-acre brush fire in Sevier County near Boogertown Road fully contained The Tennessee Division of Forestry said the fire was reported at around 12:10 p.m.
