Back in 2014, Nintendo announced its interactive toy figurines called Amiibo. These were created to interact with the Wii U, and more specifically Super Smash Bros.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct Masahiro Sakurai via Twitter stated, "Now that all the fighters have been made into amiibo, I guess my work on Smash Bros. Ultimate is finally coming to an end.

Specifically, Amiibo figures of Smash Bros. Ultimate's first two DLC fighters, Joker from Persona 5 and Hero from Dragon Quest, are coming this fall.

Amiibo collectors can let out a collective sigh of relief, as Nintendo has finally officially confirmed the Sora amiibo.
