The Hickory Inn in Springfield was forced to close for the night after a car struck the telephone pole near the restaurant on Wednesday, Nov. 5. In a social media post, the restaurant stated they wouldn’t be open for dinner as the pole that was struck provided them with electricity.

Scout’s Café will host a grand opening in the former Winans Coffee & Chocolate space at 32 N. Fountain Ave. from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, followed by First Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., according to the café’s Facebook page.

The owner of a Jamaican restaurant in Springfield is leaning on his faith as the storm bears down on the island nation.

One Springfield restaurant was put on two risk control plans, including one for mouse feces, this week, according to reports from the Springfield-Greene County Health Department. It's Greek to Me, in the Battlefield Mall at 2825 S. Glenstone Ave.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A driver smashed into the front of a Chipotle restaurant in Springfield. It happened around 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, at the restaurant located on National near St. Louis Street. Police say the driver mixed up the pedals in the parking lot. The car ended up through the restaurant’s glass front.

The restaurant will need to be re-inspected, according to the Springfield-Greene County Health Department's Oct. 20 report.
