The Hickory Inn in Springfield was forced to close for the night after a car struck the telephone pole near the restaurant on Wednesday, Nov. 5. In a social media post, the restaurant stated they wouldn’t be open for dinner as the pole that was struck provided them with electricity.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - A driver smashed into the front of a Chipotle restaurant in Springfield. It happened around 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, at the restaurant located on National near St. Louis Street. Police say the driver mixed up the pedals in the parking lot. The car ended up through the restaurant’s glass front.
The restaurant will need to be re-inspected, according to the Springfield-Greene County Health Department's Oct. 20 report.
