Standard RAID Levels RAID 0: Striping: Data is stripped across multiple drives to increase performance and capacity. No protection is present, so data is lost in the event of a drive failure.

This model, with an MSRP of $945, supports standard RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10, and 50, plus Adaptec's advanced RAID levels 1E, 5EE, and 60.

There have been other RAID implementations as well. RAID Levels 2 and 4 were defined by the RAID community, but were rarely used and have been seen about as often as Bill Gates at Linux World.
