A retired professor has published a new translation of the "Iliad" in South African English, a patois born from the tongue of bygone British colonizers mixing with a half-dozen African languages.

Muse have signed up to headline a South African music festival in March 2008. The band will top the bill at the My Coke Fest, which takes place over two days in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
