NATO member Turkey (Türkiye) has announced that its armed forces will begin to receive an initial batch of 85 domestically-produced Altay main battle tanks (MBTs) in the coming months.
Turkey received bids last Friday for the production of 500 Altay battle tanks, of which 250 are optional, Defence Minister Nurettin Canikli said on Wednesday.
