Viking River Cruises, the biggest river cruise line, unveiled plans for a new ocean-going cruise product. Called Viking Ocean, its first ship -- Viking Star -- is scheduled to arrive in 2015.

In 2019, the company plans to launch seven new river ships. Six of these will be the company’s standard river ships, call longships, which will sail itineraries on the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers.
