Cox Media's WAPE (95.1 FM) in Jacksonville is launching The Dex & Baribie T Morning Show, hosted by Dex Mitchell and Barbie T. Whitmire.

"Honest" John Ferree, a DJ on Jacksonville's WAPE from 1967 to 1971, is looking for recordings of the radio station that he can share on YouTube.

"But The Big Ape was the station I had my radio tuned to most." John Ferree, 67, and living with his wife on 68 acres in rural North Carolina, was a disc jockey for WAPE from 1967 to 1971.
