After a jury found Raul Benitez-Santana guilty of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault for the death of Washington State Patrol Trooper Christopher Gadd on June 4, a judge sentenced him Wednesday.

Raul Benitez-Santana was sentenced to over 10 years for the DUI crash that killed Washington State Patrol Trooper Christopher Gadd in March 2024.

Raul Benitez-Santana was found guilty of vehicular homicide in a fatal March 2024 crash that left Gadd dead.

It's been more than 14 months since Trooper Christopher Gadd died in a crash in Marysville. The trial is set to begin Friday for the driver accused of causing it.
