As noted in a Reddit thread earlier this month, iPadOS 26 expands Stage Manager to all iPad models compatible with the software update.
Stage Manager organizes your open apps on the left side of the screen, where you can see them at a glance. You can also group apps together and even resize and overlap windows.
But Stage Manager 1.0, introduced with iPadOS 16, has a lot of limitations. For instance, the resizing options are limited, as are the options for moving windows around the screen.
