Amazon and Best Buy are battling for the lowest price on Apple's best-selling M3 MacBook Air with 512GB of storage.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales mark one of the best times to do so. Apple’s M3 MacBook Air is one of your best options in a thin, super portable form that’ll handle anything you need thanks to its powerful M3 chip.

SAVE $100: As of Nov. 26, the Apple MacBook Air 13.3-inch is on sale for $599 in Walmart's Black Friday sale. That's a 14% saving on the list price.

This MacBook Air is a shocking $300 off, marking the lowest price we've ever seen on this model. Apple recently upgraded the Air to come with 16GB of RAM by default, so the 8GB version is in limited supply. Translation? Once it's gone, it's gone.

The 2022 MacBook Air features a modern and premium design with a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display which provides stunning visuals (with a resolution of 2560 x 1664 pixels). It is powered by Apple’s M2 chip which includes an 8-core CPU and an 8-core GPU for smooth performance whether you’re browsing the web, gaming or streaming videos.

Apple’s new M4 chips are undoubtedly a one-way ticket to enhanced performance across the board on MacBook devices, especially the rumored M4 MacBook Air reportedly slated for 2025 - but Amazon’s Black Friday sale has introduced some major discounts for M3 MacBooks, and I have to admit, they’ve piqued my interest.

Every year Apple holds a shopping event from Black Friday (November 29 in 2024) to Cyber Monday (December 2). However, since Apple rarely discounts its products, the event consists of gift card offers rather than actual savings. The newest products are excluded, so don’t expect any offers on the iPhone 16 or new MacBooks.

So what are the best Black Friday MacBook deals so far? For me, it's the MacBook Air M2 for $749 on Amazon, which is $150 off. Meanwhile, the brand-new MacBook Pro 14-inch with the M4 chip is $125 off.

Walmart is now discounting the 13-inch MacBook Air with M1 even further, allowing you to get this Apple Intelligence-ready laptop for just $599.99 (originally $699.99). This is a crazy discount on an already discounted laptop and the lowest price we've tracked. When my colleague Lance Ullanoff wrote about it in March, it was only $699.99.

But the latest deal that's caught our eye is on the Apple MacBook Air 2024. As of Nov. 21, both the 15-inch and 13-inch models have been reduced to their lowest-ever prices at Amazon. Currently, the 13-inch 2024 MacBook Air is priced at $849. The 15-inch 2024 MacBook Air is priced at $1234 for Black Friday.
