In the locker room after the game, Colorado coach Deion Sanders gave his team a pretty blunt assessment as to why he thinks they lost to the Jayhawks. “The problem is you guys are intoxicated with success,” Sanders told his players after the game. Whew.

After winning its last four contests, Colorado suffered a 37-21 loss to Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Sure, the Buffaloes still have a slight chance to make the Big 12 Championship Game following BYU's loss to Arizona State, but they will need help from other teams in the final week.
