A new date has been ‘pencilled in’ for the last-ever Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. The original fixture was postponed last Saturday lunchtime due to Storm Darragh. Both clubs are thought to be in talks with the police, Premier League and broadcasters regarding the fixture, according to the Mirror.

Liverpool then have midweek games scheduled throughout January, while Everton’s FA Cup tie against Peterborough also takes up a midweek slot early in the month. Liverpool would also have a game in the first week of February if they progress to the Carabao Cup semi-finals.
