LAS VEGAS — A balanced effort on both ends of the floor and sharp offensive performances from Jordan Walsh and Charles Bassey powered the Boston Celtics to a 92-78 win over the Memphis Grizzlies in an NBA 2K26 Summer League battle at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas on Friday afternoon.

Barring a miracle, the 2025-26 season will be a write-off for the Boston Celtics. It was clear once Jayson Tatum tore his Achilles that the Celtics weren’t going to be in championship contention.

The 19-year-old wing swooped in for a put-back layup off a missed 3-pointer on the first possession of the game — he was off from there. Turns out, that play helped him get into the rhythm of the game.
